All about Ganesh Pooja In Bangalore

Ganesh puja also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi is one of the most important Hindu festivals celebrated across the world. This day marks the birth of Lord Ganesha, the son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. He is the symbol of wisdom, prosperity and good fortune and is considered as “Vigna Harta” (one who removes obstacles) and “Buddhi Pradayaka” (one who grants intelligence). Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated on Shukla Chaturthi of the Hindu month of Bhadra. People bring idols of God Vinayaka to their homes and colonies and worship with great enthusiasm. The duration of this festival varies from 1 day to 11 days, depending on the place and tradition. On the last day of the ganesh festival, the idols are taken out in a colorful and musical procession and immersed traditionally in water bodies with a lot of pomp all over Bangalore.
